Description
VTG Folding card Edwardian era made in Germany and sold in England.A New Years Message Wishing
Happiness and Prosperity throught the year. Mailed in original envelope seems mailed postmarked at
Gerrards Cross ( Buckinghamshire ) on Dec. 31
on New Year's Eve dated 1912. Originally addressed to a person at The White Cottage to
Gerrads Cross Bucks. but address crossed thru. They added another address High Wycombe Bucks.
On back side of envelope flap it is written as an address 105 Derby Buildings Kings Cross Road
London W.C. ( London Western Central ) The stamp used is early in reign King George V Half Penny Stamp cancelled. It has survived as kept close to 110 years !
I am calling this an Edwardian card because it was early enough past King Edward's death
in 1910 to have that look and design/illustrations on the folding card. Overall excellent condition
and having the original envelope it was mailed in is a plus. Hard to find cards in original envelopes !
