GORGEOUS STERLING SILVER ORNATE LARGE BOX NETHERLANDS -
Heavy: weighs 153 grams on the triple beam. Measures 5" wide, 2 3/4" deep,  1 1/4" tall
Signed: B. G. Visfer (?) 1872 inside cover - with solver/maker hallmarks - head? at top left corner
and another one in a square by the right bottom leaf.
It appears that this design was placed over other wording - can be seen behind the crown
and what looks like another Makers mark/hallmark under the crown.
Inside top left: a lion (? inside a 6-sided shape. Another mark in a square below that one.
Solid working hinge and cover closes nicely.
Geometric flowery designs on, while inside has the crown, flowers, leaves, etc. cover.
Some wear and scratches form age, but great shape for its age as well.
I bought this at an auction and it was sold as silver with an 1841 Netherlands sign - not sure if they got this from the markings or from other info.
