Original Silkscreen Christmas Cards By Alice and Martin Provensen - The 12 Days of Christmas, Eight Card Variety Set c. 1960s Very Rare Silkscreen print.*You will receive 8 cards with Envelopes, two of each includes - "Five Golden Rings", "Eight Maids A-milking", "Nine Ladies Dancing" and "Twelve Drummers Drumming". Price is for a set of cards with Envelopes. The cards have "Seasons Greetings" printed on the inside. Several of the cards have Provensen printed on the card, See photos. The cards are from the estate of the printer in Pittsfield Ma.

*Printed in the 1960's, cards were boxed stored since, Backs of cards have slight discoloration where they contacted the image.
*Author and illustrator Alice Provensen and Martin Provensen illustrated more than 40 books and won a Caldecott Medal and Caldecott Honor. These original "Art Prints" are suitable for framing.
*Cards are about 6" X 6".
*About the Artists - Among some of the Provensen’s best known works are the illustrations for A Visit to William Blake’s Inn: Poems for Innocent and Inexperienced Travelers by Nancy Willard (Harcourt, 1981), for which Willard won the 1982 Newbery Medal and the Provensen's won a 1982 Caldecott Honor, and The Glorious Flight: Across the Channel with Louis Bleriot (Viking, 1983), the title that won them the 1984 Caldecott Medal.
