RARE ORIGINAL LARGE SIZE 1881 PRANG'S CHRISTMAS CARDS ADVERTISING POSTER CHROMOLITHOGRAPH by LOUIS PRANG & CO., BOSTON.
Beautiful image of girl pouring out a basket of Prang's Christmas cards which morph into white doves. Lovely chromolithograph with bright Christmas colors. Entire piece framed is
23-9/16" x 15-9/16"
. Has been very nicely framed under glass by the prestigious Boston Art Dealers HALEY & STEELE probably around the Mid-20thC by the looks of it. Purchased directly out of a nice Boston area estate which had a nice collection of framed antique prints.
Print is in overall very nice condition with nice colors. The L. Prang 1881 copyright mark is overprinted for some reason (see close-up photo). The lovely gold and silver patinated frame in good condition with some light surface rubs. The glass is in nice condition. Frame backing has never been opened since framed. All ready to hang on your wall.
Guaranteed to be an original 19thC chromolithograph poster
