Vintage Racehorse related holiday card of Virginia horse impressario Randolph Rouse. Circa 1980. Folded card. Front shows a photograph of two jumping horses and their jockeys within a red border surround; printed below image "1980 Boca Bird Cousin Wes" ; inside season's greeting message and name Randolph D. Rouse printed in red, with above "Randy" signed in ink. Measures: 4 3/4" X 6 1/4". (closed). Rouse (1916 - 2017) was a well-known Virginia businessman and sportsman. His horses won many races. He participated in steeple-chasing and fox-hunting. The race pictured on the card may be the 1980 Seven Corner Challenge in Rappahannock County, Virginia, where "Boca Bird" won the first race. "Cousin Wes" was Rouse's horse, and was a a pre-race leader. Unusual, decorative and collectible American horse and horse-race related memorabilia ephemera.
